Siroi Lily: Global Family (SLGF)
Siroi Lily: Global Family (SLGF), a whatsapp group for Manipuris created on 29th June 2016 with the aim of connecting Manipuris living in Manipur with those living outside the state in India and abroad. The group started with invitation to friends and facebook friends. Initially, the number of members was modest. Over the years we now have a strong team of more than 250 members sharing news, current affairs, local & national issues as well bonding over informal chats and jokes. The profiles of the members are vast ranging from student, professionals, businessmen, social workers, politicians to homemakers.
Our Vision :-
- To respect human dignity by providing timely help monetarily as well medically to the needy and most deprived section of our Manipuri society.
- To create a greater platform for all Manipuris living across the world to connect with our native state.
- To exchange and share important currents events and events happening in the world.
- To exchange innovative ideas, thoughts and opinions amongst the members.
- To share jobs and placement opportunities for better prosperity.
- To share knowledge and wisdom of our history and culture .
- To reach out to each other amongst the members whenever needed.
Our Mission :-
SLGF believes that even the weakest section of society should live with dignity, know the true happiness of being born as a human being.
SLGF lends the much needed helping hand to the poorest of poor by pooling money and assistance amongst the members. Our main source of funds comes from monthly corpus fund where some members contribute a small fix amount.
The fund is never enough to reach out to all needy persons but SLGF never neglects anyone that comes her way.
